jane baxter - riverford field kitchen chef

Jane Baxter will be already well known to those of you that have visited our award winning Riverford Field Kitchen on our farm in Devon. Jane's cooking story started in Cornwall, where she worked for George Perry-Smith at the Riverside in Helford. This led to Jane working under Joyce Molyneux at the Carved Angel in Dartmouth during its heyday - Jane still cites Joyce as her main influence. Several years in London, including a spell working at the River Cafe were then followed by seven years cooking around the South Pacific. Jane writes recipes for the Guardian from time to time and has also appeared on national radio talking about food, most recently on Radio 4 where presenters were treated to a series of Jane's Field Kitchen puddings - if you haven't yet tried the sticky toffee pudding then put a trip to Devon on your to do list now!
